Cocoa and Recipes

Well, I think I am ready for the bookstore opening tomorrow.  It has been an intense week finishing up all these projects, but I've had fun!

This first project is more of Lauren Meader's templates except this time they have cocoa in them and they still use Pine's PTI stamps, Warm

Happiness.  

Then using Betsy Veldman's idea for a Holiday Recipe book, I made this:

More Fun with PTI and FallCK!

While I'm uploading, I will add a few more items.  I am really enjoying my new PTI stamps!  These two cards were made using Made of Snow and Wise Owl.  Can you guess which one was made with which one?

PTI Template-A Cup of Tea

I am so loving the templates that Lauren Meader designed for PTI.  They are quick, easy and fun.  So many templates don't line up or look cheesy.  Not these!  I also used Pine's Warm Happiness stamps from PTI.  Fun stuff!  The recipe for the tea mix is on the back of the tag.

It is that time again, Ink Pad Missions.

Here are the three cards that we will be making for the month of October. Of course, I don't have too many original ideas, so the second and third cards were cased. The second one was inspired by jmholmes25 in the PTI gallery and the third one was inspired by peanutbee on SCS. The first one I actually thought of all by myself.

Another thing that I have been working on is gifts for the girls in DD's class at school. I figured I would go broke quickly buying gifts for all of the birthday parties that Emily was invited to attend. So, this is what I will be making for all of the girls.

Hopefully I will be crafting a lot more now that the garden is starting to slow down.

Here are two more cards for this month's challenge. I needed to make a thank you for my mom to thank her for keeping us during our visit and hubby needed a thank you for a guy that helped him with some church stuff. Hubby wanted a VERY BASIC card. I was inspired to make this owl card when I saw a similar one by Lisa Johnson.

The July Challenge Goal has begun

Welcome to my July PTI challenge. My goal is to make 8 cards with each of the new July PTI releases before the August release at 12:01 AM on the 15th of Aug.

I already used one of the sets, FLORAL FRENZY, on my July Blog Hop card. Here is another card made using the same set. It is for a ATC swap that I am doing, that is why it is sized a bit smaller. I did make 10 of these but I am only counting it as one because I just assembly lined them.

The other two cards are made using the Quilter's Sampler set.

July PTI Blog Hop

Welcome to the July Blog Hop with PTI.

This month we were asked to use the beautiful Papertrey Ink linen Vellum. This vellum is thicker than most and has a wonderful texture.

I chose to dry emboss my vellum with a Cuttlebug Embossing folder. I really like the way this paper responds to "cuddling". With the Dark Chocolate PTI paper underneath the vellum, just enough of the dark shows through to soften the whiteness.

I then used the SU Ticket Punch in the corners and tied a double ribbon around the bottom. I really like the two color, two sizes of ribbon. I used Plum Pudding for the wider ribbon and Dark Chocolate for the thinner ribbon. I then used my Nestabilities to make the ovals then stamped the flower in the middle using the new Floral Frenzy stamp set. The "thank you" stamp is from the Mixed Messages stamp set. The little bling in the corners is from Target.

FINAL!

And here it is, my final project for the June release. DD needed a luggage tag for her new backpack so I decided to make one for her. All of the info is tied safely inside if needed but out of sight of anyone passing by.

I really like the new PTI Kraft Cardstock. Is is so nice and heavy making it perfect for this kind of project.

Well, it has been a great deal of fun crafting with you this month. Three more PTI sets will be released tonight so I'll probably be doing this all over again!

One More Goal Met!

Okay, so I can't count! In my last post I said that I only had five cards to make to complete my goal. Well, in reality, I had 7 to make. I will need to make 3 cards using Boards & Beams by 11:01 PM tomorrow.

These are all done from challenge sketches on SCS. The first box has 2 Boards & Beams cards and the the second box completes my Birds of a Feather card goal plus 1. I lost count as I was having too much fun with B of a F and over achieved.

Here are two more Birds of a Feather cards and another Boards & Beams. I'm closing in on my goal. Only 5 more to go!

All three of these cards are PTI Challenge sketches. The first one is CMWC9, the second is CMWC6 and the bottom one is CMWC3.

My favorite one is the one with the pinks & black. I am really liking the look of the two ribbons tied together.

Here are three more cards using Birds of a Feather. This set can have so many different looks. Not sure why I got stuck on the Lemon Tart and Summer Sunrise combo for two of these, but I do like it! ENJOY!!!

Oh, this set is soooo much fun! I was even able to incorporate two more Birds of a Feather into these. I am really starting to like this Birds of a Feather set. At first I wasn't sure about it since it is so much different than "my style". But..... Now I'm excited to see what else I can make using it!

Two more cards to add to my collection. Only 6 more days to reach my goal. So far I can only purchase one new PTI set that is released on 12:01 AM on the 15th of July. This is MOTIVATION. Nichole is starting to release "Sneek Peeks" of the new sets and I really, really want to make this goal because I don't think I could choose which set to leave behind.

I used Guide Lines on both of these cards and the bird & saying are from Birds of a Feather. Two sets on the same card works for me!

More Boards & Beams

The more I use this set the more I like it. It is sending me in ways that I haven't been prone to go before. This is a good thing. The first card is paper pieced with DP from Everyday Blessings and Father Knows Best from PTI. The second card is colored with Prang colored pencils. I flunked coloring in kindergarten for a reason.

Okay, so I kinda cheated at making my goal. I mass produced 6 cards using PTI Flower Garden. I needed several anniversary cards so this was the best way to make sure they all got finished.

Switching Gears

It seems like lately my craft room has been all about stamping and scrapbooking. Well, I decided to get out the sewing machine and make my daughter a skirt. She is getting so tall, yes, at age 10 she is taller than me. I need to make her some skirts that cover everything that needs to be covered. I can tell I'm a little rusty at this sewing thing, but I had such a good time. Of course it helped that hubby was home keeping an eye on the troops.

Well, here is skirt #1. DD picked out the pattern and the fabric so of course she likes it. I'm rather pleased with the way it turned out, especially seeing how long it has been since I made her anything.

I'm ready to head back to the fabric store for more fabric. I wonder if she is?

Sunday Afternoon with PTI

When the lady at the church bookstore told me she needed 8 baby cards I remembered this great BLOG that I had visited with a terrific PTI baby card idea.

Thanks Amy! This is my take on your paper piecing.

As you can tell, I made more than 8 because they were soooooo cute. When I took the cards tonight for Mrs. Bookstore to pick the 8 that she wanted, she bought 5 for herself and ALL of the rest for the bookstore. I'd say she liked them!

You know it is a GREAT Saturday when you get to spend some time in the craft room. I was also able to make a Casual Mid-Week Challenge Card (PTI). I'm feeling pretty happy right now!

June Blog Hop-PTI

This month's Blog Hop challenge was to use a transparency. These are a little tricky to work with but this is what I came up with for my project.

I put my transparency through my Cuttlebug using the Stylized Flowers embossing folder. I then folded it in half. I cut a slit for the ribbon through the transparency and through a 1/2 sheet of Lavender Moon card stock that I had stamped the sentiment on using Mailbox Greetings. I then put some Plum Pudding ribbon through the slit and wrapped it around the front of the card. I attached some Prima Flowers with some Oriental Trading Company brads.

PTI Guide Lines

One of the new PTI stamp sets that I am really liking is Guide Lines. It is amazing all of the backgrounds that you can make with this set.

Just thought I would give you a little update on my stampin' for money life. This morning I took the cards I have been working on for the church bookstore and gave them to the lady that runs the store. I told her my price per card and told her to take the ones she wanted. WooHoo! She bought all 68 of them.

I celebrated by coming home and finally doing some scrapbooking for me. Here is a layout I made using the Summer Craft Kit from our Stampin' Flybaby group. It is such a fun kit using the Daisy Bucket Designs PP, On the Boardwalk. Be looking for more projects using this great kit. If you will notice, I did use some PTI CS and also the swirl flower from PTI-Garden of Life.

Oh dear, I did it again. I hit the "I WANT IT ALL" button on the PTI release. Be watching for some new PTI cards using my new "tools". They released the most BEAUTIFUL purple called Plum Pudding. Also some fabulous cream cardstock. Wait until you see the new stamp sets. I'm sue I won't do justice to "Boards and Beams" since I am coloring challenged, but I'm hoping I can get an ok look with my colored pencils. I just am not ready to start investing in the Copics!

So, be on the lookout! In order for these stamps to pay for themselves I need to make approx. 10 cards with each set. You can also keep an eye on ebay, as I will need to be selling off some stuff too! (ebay name is "stampinandflyin")

Okay, it's official. I'm really liking my Papertrey Ink stamps, papers, inks, and ribbons. Here are some cards that I made recently to put in the church bookstore. I hope you like them. I sure had fun making them.

May Blog Hop-PTI

I an so excited to be here tonight with my VERY simple card. This is my first project using Bitty Baby Blessings from Papertrey Ink. This is such a fun set that I will be using for lots of baby cards in the future.

The card that we made for the blog hop needed to include score lines in the design. This is a very simple design. I stamped the little duckies in each corner and then scored 3 lines 1/4 inch away from each one. I then stamped the big duck in the middle and colored with my SU! markers. To add a little more color, I added some more little animals in the top and bottom sections. I then added the sentiment also from Bitty Baby Blessings.

Stampin' Space

I finally was able to get my stamping table cleaned off and set up so DD and I can stamp at the same time. It is a little cozy but when I'm finished "flinging" in here it should get a little less crowded.

My DS#1, the carpenter, is working on a project for me. I can't wait for him to get it finished so I can post a pic. Until then, you will have to be content seeing what I've accomplished so far.
